250 teams from 50 schools in the city participated in the competition
Guwahati, 14th June, 2014: Cycle Pure Agarbathies, World’s largest incense stick brand today organized ‘Cycle Heritage Quiz’, India’s only inter-school quiz aimed at educating the students on the Heritage and Culture of our country for the very 1st time in Guwahati. The event was graced by Nishita Goswami, Noted Actress and Rajib Dey, Swimming Coach of the Indian Team for the Commonwealth Games 2014 as the guests of honour.
The Quizzing competition was held at ITA Center (Pragjyoti Cultural Complex), Machkowa, Guwahati. The Quiz consisted of a preliminary round which witnessed participation of students of classes VIII to X from around 50 schools in the city forming over 250 teams. Amongst them, only 6 teams made it to the final.
All the questions of the quiz were related to the heritage of India including, epics, mythology, origins of festivals and traditions and more. The awards were given away to contestants who had the most prolific knowledge on India’s rich art forms, culture, tradition and history.

We are happy to provide a platform for the students with this unique competition where they can battle their brains and at the same time learn more about the greatness of our country.”
The Cycle Heritage Quiz as a concept was initiated in 2011 with an objective of encouraging young minds to learn about the Country’s rich art forms, culture, tradition and history. Following the success of its first edition in Kolkata, the Cycle Heritage Quiz has become an annual event and is now conducted in other cities also like Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad making it a national contest. This year the Quiz will be held in 12 cities.
Staying true to its roots, Cycle Pure Agarbathies has always been committed towards preserving India’s cultures and traditions.
