Mysuru, 25th October, 2016: Cycle Pure celebrated Birth Anniversary of Sri N Ranga Rao, the group’s founder in a unique way. In an attempt to make the day memorable, Cycle Pure Agarbathies distributed school bags which included an assortment of stationary to children of Ajitha Nele an Orphanage in Mysuru.

Cycle Pure Agarbathies was started by Sri. N Ranga Rao in 1948. The journey has seen the brand grow from a fledgling cottage industry to a global enterprise; Cycle has the largest market share in India and has established itself as a major agarbathi exporter. The brand growth has its base in the founder’s guiding principles of integrity, quality, customer responsiveness, financial discipline and most importantly, supporting and serving socially relevant causes.

Birthday celebration also witnessed signing of official agreement for Prerepana Project (Phase II) between NR Foundation and Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement. Prerepana (Phase II) is a five year project aiming to address and resolve the critical needs of the slum dwellers and strengthening the key social development indicators like issues of health (Alcohol De-addiction), education (Children & Youth) and facilitating linkages for social entitlements in the community. The project will lay its focus on seven slums of Mysuru viz Karakushalanagar, Metagalli Ekalavyanagara, Bharath Nagar, Kalyangiri—KSB Colony, Vande Matharam, Shivrathreshwara nagara and Kesare- Kurimandi.

As part of the Founder’s Day activity, Cycle Pure Agarbathies distributed school bags containing an assortment of stationary to children of Ajitha Nele Orphanage.  Ajitha Nele is a project of Hindu Seva Pratisthana started to provide residential care to destitute children.

Speaking on this initiative, Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies, said, “We, as a brand, have always been aware of our social responsibilities and believe in giving back to the society we live in. We are very happy to have arranged the distribution programme for these innocent little children and also thank them for making this day memorable and special for Cycle Pure. It is heartening to see the way these little children cherish their little joys and make our little contributions look big and meaningful.”
