Mysuru, September 7, 2016: NR Group, the makers of Cycle Pure Agarbathies and owner of Mysuru Warriors today formally presented the team for the upcoming KPL 2016 tournament. The all new team will have 20 players out of which 18 have been representing the state at various levels. The remaining two were selected from extensive talent hunt conducted by Mysuru Warriors recently.


In the press conference Mysuru Warriors introduced their sponsors for the season. Cycle Pure Agarbathies is the principal sponsor. The other organisations who have joined hands are Indus Steel, Bacardi Weekender, Kotak, Star of Mysore, Oakley, BIT, Uber among others.


Presenting the team and sponsors, Mr. Arjun Ranga, owner of Mysuru Warriors and Managing Director Cycle Pure Agarbathies said, “We are extremely satisfied with our team this year. It is a good mix of talent and experience. We are confident that this season, we will witness good cricket”.

Elaborating on the team, coach Rx Murali, said, “With good depth in bowling, batting and fielding we have a strong side. We are also fortunate to have a strong support staff consisting of Vijay Madhyalkar, Asst. Coach, Shyam Rao, Fitness Trainer and Shravan, Physiotherapist. We also have Mr. Bradly James Haddin, former Australian international cricket player as an esteem mentor for our team. I am confident the team will exhibit an exciting game of cricket, and keep the crowds entertained”.

Modelled on the lines of IPL, the 20-20 tournament is organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) and will witness competition between 8 teams. Started in 2009, the Karnataka Premier League is now in its fifth season. It will commence from 16th September, 2016. The finals will be held in Hubbli on 2nd October September, 2016.
