Cycle Heritage Quiz enthralls Students of the Heritage City -Mysore
Mysore, 23 November, 2013: Cycle Pure Agarbathies, India’s largest incense stick brand, organized the Cycle Heritage Quiz 2013; India’s only quiz aimed at educating the students on the Heritage and Culture of our country at the Jaganmohan palace auditorium. This was the first time that the quiz was organized in Mysore. Titash Banerjea, Quizmaster and Manjunath of AIR Mysore kept the audience engrossed throughout the quiz. MLA M.K.Somashekar was the chief guest, Sri.R.Guru, Chairman, NR Group and Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Partner, Cycle Pure Agarbathies were present.
The Quiz has received an overwhelming response from across schools of Mysore City. The preliminary round quiz was organized at the respective schools where nearly 5000 students from Class 8-10 of 40 schools of the city took part. During the Finals held this morning only 6 teams Qualified and emerged as winners. All the questions of the quiz were related to the heritage of India including, epics, mythology, origins of festivals and traditions and more.
The Chief Guest, MLA M.K.Somashekhar, commented on the occasion, “The Cycle Heritage Quiz is a praiseworthy initiative undertaken by Cycle Pure Agarbathies. I am happy to be a part of this novel initiative. I would like to wish the students and the team of Cycle Pure Agarbathies the very best of luck.”
The Cycle Heritage Quiz as a concept was initiated in 2011 with an objective of encouraging young minds to learn about the Country’s rich art forms, culture, tradition and history. Following the success of its first edition in Kolkata, the Cycle Heritage Quiz has become an annual event and is now conducted in other cities also like Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad making it a national contest.
Staying true to its roots, Cycle Pure Agarbathies has always been committed towards preserving India’s cultures and traditions. Working towards revival of India’s various traditional arts, the company has organized several interesting campaigns such as the Rhythm Dhaker Ladai in Kolkata, which is an effort to preserve and uplift the dying art of Dhak; Sheri Garba in Gujrat, to resurrect the original style of Garba, now crushed under cross commercialization of present day Garba.

We are happy to provide a platform for the students with this unique quiz show where they can battle their brains and at the same time learn more about the greatness of our country. We wish to carry this initiative further on and make it a bigger and a grander success”.
