Cycle Pure Agarbathies joins hands with Reforest India and Kodagu For Tomorrow to begin reforesting in the Kaveri Watershed

Madikeri, June29, 2019: Cycle Pure Agarbathies, the world’s largest and only carbon neutral certified Agarbathi Manufacturer, pledged their support to the Kodagu for tomorrow plantation drive at the Sainik School, in Madikeri. Today, Cycle Pure Agarbathies distributors, employees and other volunteer organizations like Kodagu for Tomorrow, Reforest India, Art of Living, Kodava Riders Club, Forest Department, Trees for Free, Kaveri Nadhi Rakshisi, Recycle Kodagu and E-Cure joined hands in helping plant 1000 saplings, to initiate the Kodagu For Tomorrow watershed reforestation.

“As an agarbathi brand used by over a billion people in the country, it naturally becomes our responsibility to give back to society. This initiative is another step in creating a sustainable, clean, green future for the future generations to come. We also applaud the efforts of all the organizations involved in this program.” - said Mr. Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies.

This initiative will see a series of such plantation drives every weekend to achievethe goal of 100,000 trees. This drive will span across the designated 75 acresin Sainik School(25 acres) and the Medical College(50 acres) at Somwarpet.

Alongside sourcing raw materials only from re-grown forests during production, all of Cycle Pure’s products packaging material are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) board certified as well.

Cycle Pure’s has also supported a short film “The Story Of Kaveri” to create awareness around Kaveri river’s water crisis. The story, like the state of the river in today’s times, takes an ugly dystopian turn and portrays the futility of fighting over a dying river.
