Mysuru, April 30, 2019:Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled (RMSD) by NR Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the NR Group, announced their students’ performance post SSLC results, today. The overall pass percentage achieved by RMSD for the Karnataka SSLC Class 10 (Matric) result for the batch 2018-2019 is 100%. Ms. MR Gayithri has topped the list with 88% marks.
Out of the 12 students who had appeared for SSLC examination from the school, the results saw 5 of the students securing average ofmore than 80% and 7 of them achieving more than 60% making it a proud moment for all.
The school which operates under “Child centric project” supported by ‘Department of the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens’ Karnataka State, is a completely free residential school from 1st standard to 10th standard for visually impaired girls.

The staggering success has given the children a ladder of confidence and boosted the will power strengthening to do even better in future.They all are keen on continuing their education and are aspiring to build a career in academics.
Commenting on her achievement, MR Gayithri, school topper said, “I am grateful to RMSD and all my teachers for my results. This would not have been possible without their support. I am also excited to take my education forward and embrace a career of my choice.”
The school was established in the year 1988 and since then it has been providing education and vocational training to the visually disabled girls in and around Mysuru. The school is equipped with lodging, boarding, and healthcare facilities. The school has commenced a new beginning on its 30th anniversary by adding the high school section. Instituted with the vision to impart all round development, apart from the curriculum, the school provides training in life-skills, music, dance and basic cooking.
Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled [RMSD] is a free residential school for visually challenged girls from economically disadvantaged background, giving them confidence to be responsible for themselves. It is the only school in the Karnataka State exclusive to the Girls, The current strength of the school is 96, with a committed set of teachers and Ranga family members serving them for the last 30 years. Students passed out from the school are today working at various institutions and leading their life with dignity which stands testimonial to the noble cause initiated by the NR group.
